The Chief Advisor of the ruling interim government, Muhammad Yunus, has sent a letter inviting Volker Türk, the top executive of the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights, to Bangladesh. Volker Türk welcomed the invitation. Although he did not give assurance about coming to Bangladesh, he assured the issue of formal investigation.
